Natural undenatured ethanol of 96.2 % purity is a colourless odourless liquid. This product is manufactured as a pure alcohol to fit specific needs. It is typically used as an industrial solvent, for example, in the manufacture of hand sanitizers, emulsifiers and/or preservatives. Not intended for manufacturing of beverages. The product requires excise registration under Rebate Item 621.08 with tariff heading 104.21 since it is undenatured. Our Office can provide guidance with the registration process.
